But whatever happened to Jessica Walsh, 28, and Timothy Goodman, 34, whose story went viral in – did they find their happily ever after?
For those who found themselves wondering what happened after the 40th date, the book clears up some of that mystery, too.
I met the right person afterwards. We met on Happened, my first date a month after the experiment ended. TG: The project enabled me to be more honest with myself about wanting to dating a relationship with someone worth it, someone great. Jessie made me realize that. This project took it to a whole new personal level—mashing design with our york lives. It created a unique dating platform. Now Tim and I are forty on another project. Did anything interesting happen? Truthfully, I am quite nervous. However, I know that when an opportunity scares me, I must go for it. We had been good friends and peers in the graphic design world for years, and we were constantly surprised by how consistent our opposite relationship problems were. Based on the adage that it takes forty days to change a bad habit, we decided that dating each other for forty days, even though our relationship had always been platonic, would force us to explore our issues and maybe even break our own bad love habits.
We thought that if we could carry this out with as much sincerity as possible, then maybe we could not only help ourselves, but potentially create a larger dialogue to help the many others out there, who, like us, are looking for love.
